Protein Packed Chia Seed Pancakes

Inspired by National Pancake Day, here is a great protein packed chia seed recipe that you should definitely try. This brilliant breakfast is the perfect way to start your day. Aside from getting the protein and phosphorous punch you need, these fiber full flapjacks also help fight off belly fat too and is super duper healthy! Chia Seed Pancakes

What You Need:

  • 3 Egg Whites
  • 1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 Cup nonfat Buttermilk
  • ½ Cup Rolled Oats
  • ¼ Cup Unsweetened Applesauce
  • ¼ Cup Chia Seeds
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • 2 Tablespoons Baking Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Canola Oil
  • A Pinch Of Salt
  • A Pinch Of Cinnamon

What To Do:

You will generally need two bowls. In the first one, you will beat your egg whites, milk, unsweetened applesauce, and oil together. In the other bowl, mix basically everything else except for the chia seeds, you wanna put that in last, and honey. Slowly add the dry mixture, your second bowl, into the wet one whole continuously stirring until you have smooth and creamy consistency. Then add honey to the mix and stir some more. Last but not least, throw in your chia seeds. Mix. Done. Spray your pan with cooking spray and get it to medium heat. Cook these protein packed chia seed pancakes as you normally would any.
