Kaley Cuoco, today popularly known as Penny from the Big Bang series has definitely “Charmed” her way into Hollywood. (Note: She starred as Billie Jenkins in the 8th season of the said supernatural series, Charmed.) And has come a long way since.Now, this American sweetheart shares her own simple rules, not exactly eight, on keeping fit and healthy. On Working OutDid you know that Kaley Cuoco has her own horse, Falcon?
“When I'm riding I don't think about work, relationships, or anything stressful; I'm just In the moment, It's the perfect combination of a mental and physical workout. After an hour, I'm exhausted. I work muscles I don't use otherwise: My legs, butt, core everything is sore."Now some people don’t really consider horse back riding a “real exercise” as they claim that the horse does all the work. But did you know that you have to use all the muscles in your arms, torso, hips, and legs just to control the horse? So it actually is a full body work out, plus it’s really good for your posture too. ☺ But Kaley Cuoco doesn’t just straddle her stallion…
"In addition to riding, I've always exercised at the gym. But a while ago, I was starting to get bored with my routine, so I tried Spinning and fell in love with it instantly. I go to class three times a week, without fail. I always get there early so I can sit in the front of the studio, and I'm ready to go as soon as the instructor comes in. Doing something I really enjoy has made a huge difference in my motivation level."
On Eating RightAs they say, you can’t out run a bad diet, and Kaley definitely knows this. Here is how she eats right.
"I start the day with oatmeal with vanilla almond milk. If I don't, I'm dying by noon and eating everything in sight. On-set, I avoid crap and pack soup and salad. I cook pork chops or turkey tacos for dinner."But, everyone deserves a treat once in a while, for Kaley, it’s actually Diet Cola!
"Diet cola is my absolute favorite drink in the world; I used to drink four cans a day. But to help me cut down, I've turned it into a treat. Now, instead of having dessert, I'll have a can of diet soda. Putting a limit on how often I can drink it has helped me appreciate it more."
On Some Good Old R and R
"Once in a while, you have to listen to your body and give yourself a night off, with no phone. I love vegging out with bad TLC shows, like Sister Wivesand Breaking Amish."
And Most Importantly, On Herself…
"I judge myself all the time. It takes a huge effort to look this way, and I still think I could lose 5 pounds! Unless you're Gisele, you wake up some days and feel ugly. When that happens, I accept that I'm not perfect and it's OK; I can start over again tomorrow."
