Homemade Recipes For Those Darn Eyebags

home made eye cream recipesNobody like excess baggage- not literally, not figuratively, and not when it's found under you eyes.  Nothing quite ages your face like dark circles. But why spend tons of dollars on eye creams and even hundreds more on botox? More than half the price and probably just as effective, turn your kitchen into your very own skin clinic of sorts and check out these great homemade recipes for those darn eye bags.

Avocado Cream

There is no denying that Avocado is definitely the ultimate anti aging fruit. Heck, it even works for your eye bags! Here is a simple recipe that you can whip up right in your kitchen. What you will need:
  • 3 slices of avocado
  • 5 drops of almond oil
First thing you want to do is to put those three slices of avocado in a bowl and mash them up. Add the 5 drops of almond oil to the mix and voila, your eye cream is ready. Simply dab this homemade mixture around your eyes, leave it for a good 5-10 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.
Avocado Info
The oil from avocados not only helps reduce age spots and repairs sun damaged skin, but it also combats free radicals which pretty much play a role in aging, diseases, and even cancer.  Plus, they are also jam packed with vitamins E, D, and A too which are really good for your skin.

Almond Oil

If you can’t get your hands on avocado, ditch the whole avocado cream and stick to plain almond oil instead. After all, why stress over a fruit when it isn’t in season? Even simpler, no mixing, mashing, cooking, boiling, or what have you required, all you need is almond oil just as it is. Every morning when you wake up and just before you go to bed, make this part of your beauty ritual. Simply place a drop or so of almond oil on your finger then from the inner corner, make a full circle all the way around your eye until you are back where you started, do the same but in reverse. Then with your index finger, gently pat it the oil in.  This is supposed to lighten those under eye dark circles with continuous use. Potato And Applesauce Cream

For this next one, it would probably be best for you to get your blender ready. What you will need:
  • 1 small potato
  • 2 tablespoons of applesauce, unsweetened.
Can you just imagine how hard it would be to mash up a raw potato, no matter how small it is? HARD! So to save you from the unneeded effort as well as unwanted stress, just put the baby in the blender along with the two table spoons of applesauce and let the machine do it’s magic. When it finally becomes a cream or paste of sorts, you will need to take a wash cloth or face towel and dip in warm water. Wring out the water and use this to dab on eye cream that you and your blender have just created. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes then rinse off with lukewarm water.

Cucumber Cream

Why settle for just putting slices of cucumbers on your eyes when you can actually dab on some of it’s goodness with your very own homemade cucumber cream? Sure it will take much longer to prepare, but it is by far much more effective. What you will need:
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 egg whites
Again, you will need a blender. How else would you get the juice out of the cucumber? So after washing it, you wanna slice it up and dump the pieces, mix with about ¼ cup of water until you have a nice frothy kind of pulp. Next squeeze the lemon, add the two egg whites, and whisk away. When done, reward yourself by dabbing it on your dark circles and leaving for about 15-20 minutes. Then rinse off with lukewarm water.
