With Halloween creeping up fast, Jack O’ Lanterns are never too far behind. But think about this, when you’re done putting a face on your pumpkin, why not put some pumpkin on your face? Yep. Check out this Homemade Pumpkin brightening Face Mask.
With this great homemade pumpkin face mask, the lantern’s face won’t be the only one glowing. – And don’t worry, you’ll still have a lot left over for that delicious pumpkin pie too!
What You Need:
- 2 Tablespoons of Fresh Pumpkin (told you there’d be a lot left for pie!)
- 1 Tablespoon of Honey (here’s a little tip, the darker the honey, the better)
- 1 Tablespoon of Yogurt (plain and unflavored)
- ½ Teaspoon of Sugar
What To Do:
All you have to do is mix everything together then you are good to go. After carving your Jack O’ Lantern, you wouldn’t want to have to go through a whole lot of trouble for a face mask after all, right? Right after you mix, it’s time for some pumpkin pampering.
Start with a clean face, apply the mask, let it sit for a good 10-15 minutes, rinse off, and pat dry. Done.
Pumpkin is super healthy, but since this is about a homemade pumpkin face mask, let’s just focus on why it’s good when it is applied topically (because believe me, when actually taken in, it’s a whole other story).
As I said earlier, your lantern’s face won’t be the only one glowing. Pumpkins are rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin A, and are full of various enzymes that will nourish your skin, make it brighter, and give you that gorgeous glow.
TIP: the enzymes are actually much more active in a moist surrounding, so unless you have a sauna at home, you can either apply this mask while you’re in the shower and the bathroom is all steamed up ( but make sure not to rinse it off until after 10-15 minutes) or you can just pour some hot water into a basin that is slightly bigger than you face, then when the steam comes up, place your head over the basin and cover with a towel. This is for best results, of course.
