Apple cream at night keeps the wrinkles at bay...[/caption]
If you have noticed, I for one am a HUGE fan of all those DIY, kitchen concoctions that you can whip up right from your pantry. I just love them so much because aside from just being effective, homemade products are CHEMICAL FREE and are so much CHEAPER - not only are you doing a favor for your health and skin, but one for your wallet too!
So when you’re out of some skin care product of yours, why not grab the next one off your cupboard shelf instead of the ones at the nearest department?
Today I am going to share with you one of my personal all time favorites, Homemade Anti Aging Apple Night Cream.
If an apple a day keeps the doctor away, apple cream at night definitely keeps the wrinkles at bay.
So, let’s go ahead and dive right in.
Let’s begin with what you need. Before anything else, you have to make sure that you have all the items on this check list: (Don’t worry, there are only three.)
WHAT YOU NEED:
- 1 Apple, preferably fresh
- Half A Cup Of Olive Oil
- Half A Cup Of Rose Water
Once you have ticked everything off your list, it’s time to get cracking (in this case chopping!). Simply follow these simple steps to creating your anti aging apple night cream.
WHAT TO DO:
The very first step is to wash your apple. Then you want to chop it up into little chunks, of course core and seeds not included, the toss the pieces into the blender. Whiz away until you have a rather smooth, yet somewhat thick substance.
The next thing to do is add in your half cup of olive oil and only half of your half cup of rose water (so 1/4th
a cup of that). Now, you can use a double boiler, a makeshift one, or even just your good microwave.
- See? I even like to make my own tools. To create a double boiler, as I have mentioned in one of my previous posts, all you have to do is get a pan and fill it with water, simply place another pan on top of that one, then put your stove on high. The point? You see, the boiling water in the bottom pan will heat up the pan on top keeping anything from burning.
You just want to heat things up a bit. You definitely don’t want to cook you apple as raw apples actually contain some malice acid that is really great for making your skin smoother yet firmer at the same time.
When the mixture is warm, add in the rest of the rose water.
STIR and STORE.
Let your homemade anti aging apple night cream sit on the ref overnight before use.
