Beauty Secrets From The East: Chinese Skincare Jade Roller
Since it was just Chinese New Year, here is one Chinese ancient skincare secrets that is just starting to get popular all around the world today: The JADE Roller.
In China, Jade is one of the most highly esteemed stones there is believed to bring healing, luck, peace, protection, and such all depending on the kind, shade, and of course, feng shui. Apparently, beauty is part of the list. One of the ancient Chinese skincare secrets that is still being used today is the Jade Roller and lymphatic massage. Now, that’s something truly tried and tested.
What Is A Jade Roller?
Easier shown then said, here is a picture of a jade roller.
Kind of like a much, MUCH, gentler (and definitely less painful) alternative to the derma roller, picture also posted below.
Basically, The jade roller is supposed to reduce puffiness, (this means that it helps reduce the appearance of eye bags and dark circles!), help flush out those unwanted toxins, increase circulation, and balance one’s qi.
Qi, directly translated is vital energy. It is “the circulating life force whose existence and properties are the basis of much Chinese philosophy and medicine.”
How To Use A Jade Roller
As with most skin care solutions, always start with a clean face. So before anything else, make sure you wash up and pat dry. Always pat dry.
Next, take your pick of your favorite moisturizer, serum, or even eye cream if you wanna specifically target unwanted eye bags. After applying (in a gentle circular motion all over your face, but for the eye cream, remember, the secret is to pat it on gently under the eyes and on the sides until it is more or less absorbed. ), take your jade roller and begin to roll all over you face in an upward, outward motion as much as possible.
To reiterate, for best results, as much as possible, do so in an UPWARD and OUTWARD motion.
Do so for a couple of minutes.
TIP: Some keep their jade rollers in the ref to keep the stone cold which brings about better results.
