Some claims even suggest that Alzheimer disease can be helped by taking Turmeric. Although it should be pointed out that this claim has not been clinically proved. Research is gathering pace however on this powerful spice. Turmeric can be taken in capsule form or used in cooking. When you cook, it can be used fresh – grate a bit of turmeric into a curry or some other Indian inspired dish - or in dried powder form. I imagine the fresh variety would be better for you but the powder form is more practical as you can keep it for longer. Turmeric also gives the foods you cook a deep yellow color and is often used in place of saffron as a cheaper alternative to coloring foods. Try to add it to one of two of your weekly meals.

The claimed health benefits are that it prevents arthritis and gout (inflammatory conditions often associated with age). Celery seeds are very easy to take. Buy them whole and place a teaspoon full of the seeds in a cup of boiling water. They will form a tea that you can drink. Whilst it's not the most flavorsome drink it isn't too bad. You could also add the seeds into a mix of other “good for you” ingredients like green tea to give the drink a few taste dimensions. If you can't stomach the tea, then you can get the seeds in capsule form. Try to add these herbs into your daily life and this may ensure that you don't suffer from many age related conditions.
